Brian Hanly

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

At the age of 19, Brian began building homes for speculation while attending college. He started his full time homebuilding career in 1995 when he joined David Weekley Homes in Houston, Texas in their corporate purchasing department. Brian then moved to northern Nevada to co-found Syncon Homes of Nevada. In 1997, he founded Syncon Homes of California, Inc. and has served as Chief Executive Officer ever since. As CEO, he has led the Syncon and his affiliated companies through the development and construction of over 2,200 homes, in four geographic regions, with revenue exceeding $880 Million. In 2009 he additionally co-founded Next Generation Capital to take advantage of the distressed single family home market. Since then NGC and it’s affiliates have successfully purchased renovated and sold over 900 properties for revenues of approximately $1 Billion. Brian received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Finance from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo in 1995, and has held a California contractors license since 1998.

Donnie Hanly

PRESIDENT

Donnie Hanly is President and a co founder of Next Generation Capital. Prior to his venture with NGC, Donnie served as the President of Syncon Homes of California and several affiliated companies. He was instrumental in building Syncon Homes of California to $100 million in annual revenue with with over 200 divisional closings in 2005. Even with this hyperbolic growth the division obtained a top 3 JD Power quality customer rating for the Sacramento market, far exceeding many other private building companies.  As President Donnie has led Next Generation Capital and its affiliates in the acquisition and disposition of more than 900 homes in California, Arizona, Nevada and Florida with revenues of approximately $1 Billion.

Donnie graduated from California Polytechnic University San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Finance. He holds California, Nevada, and Arizona Real Estate Broker licenses.

Andrew Mitchell

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Andy has served as a Division President and CFO level team member for several of the Hanly’s entities over the years. Andy has the knowledge and ability to manage multiple software and accounting systems. Over the years he has developed a tremendous ability to forecast and manage cash flows and create accurate forward looking budgets and proformas.

Andy is a Certified Public Accountant. He is a graduate from the University of California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo where he majored in Business Accounting.

John Slaughter

VICE PRESIDENT OF CONSTRUCTION

John runs the vertical operations of Next Generation Capital, including  field operations, purchasing, sales and customer service.  He has worked for national, as well as private, home builders throughout the Sacramento area and has been involved in the construction of nearly 20,000 homes over his career. John holds both a California  contractors license and a broker’s License. John also has a degree in Building Construction from Texas A&M University  and  an MBA.

Nick Foster

CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Nick is currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer of Next Generation Capital where he oversees daily operations including acquisition, construction, sales, warranty and personnel. Previously, he was the California Division Manager for Vineyard Services an affiliate of Next Generation.

Nick has 19 years experience in construction management and has over 23 years experience in the construction industry. Nick is a graduate from the University of California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo where he majored in Industrial Technology.

Suzy Johnson

CONTROLLER

Suzy is a Certified Public Accountant with 3 years of experience as controller and over ten years of experience in public accounting.

She has extensive experience in bookkeeping, analyzing, compiling data in job schedules and preparing financial statement information through compilations, reviews, and audits, and preparation of individual, fiduciary, and business tax returns.
